Gavin Routledge DO(Hons) MSc is Vice Patron of the British School of Osteopathy, author of “The Back Book” and “active X backs – An effective long-term solution to lower back pain”. He was a Gold Medallist at the British School of Osteopathy in 1991, has a Masters Degree from the University of Edinburgh in The Clinical Management of Pain and has worked in Edinburgh, Scotland for most of his 26 years in practice, always specialising in – and now revolutionising – the management and treatment of lower back pain and sciatica.
As well as developing an online course for back pain and sciatica sufferers, Gavin coaches other health and fitness professionals in how to successfully help people turn their health around, particularly those suffering persistent pain. He is the Chief Health Officer at Active X Health, which provides smartphone-based health coaching for the most common causes of sickness absence (including lower back pain), and the Active X Healthcast, one of the fastest growing health-related podcasts.
He has 5 children, is very busy in clinical practice, and loves few things more than cycling through the wind and rain for 26 miles on his daily commute.
